Laura Beltchenko is known as a passionate leader in the area of English/Language Arts instructional practices with a special emphasis on how to best implement the ELA Common Core Standards in the classroom. Her most recent appearances include: the Suburban Council of the International Reading Association,

the Illinois Reading Council annual Convention, International Reading Association, Illinois Association of Title I Directors and most recently conferences sponsored by the Illinois State Board of Education focusing on the Common Core Standards.

Her expertise is well-known and well-respected by teachers and administrators around the state. Her recent doctoral studies bring together the ELA CCSS with well researched methods of literacy instruction.
